Belated Henna

October 29, 2011

I did both of these over the summer for two of my favorite ladies, a shoulder one and my first pregnant belly henna!

Diana’s shoulder was a part compilation of some designs I love, part my own freeform.  And I only sketched the arc of the major curves on her skin before I started. And on Cat’s belly henna, I used a design I saw as a starting point, but then freeformed the final design without sketching anything out on her before!

I’ve been itching to do some more lately. Any takers? Check out my gallery and prices!

Hey look!

I’ve been designing the blog/website for the Little Red Barn Artist Sale in 2 weekends, and I just finished the website header while I was down with a cold this past weekend…TA DA!!

I’m mighty proud. 🙂

Just added some beautiful garlands to my stock on Etsy. Check em out:

I’m going to be selling garlands and maybe some wrap skirts in two upcoming art sales!

The first is The Little Red Barn Sale on Sat and Sun, November 5th and 6th. Taking place in Historic Norcross, on the grounds of a gorgeous 100 yr old home, this sale features a marketplace of rejuvenated furniture, vintage linens and handiwork of local artists and artisans, who are creating lots of Holiday gifts, decorations, and accessories as we speak…er, blog! Check out the website:

The second event is the 8th Annual Garden Market on Saturday November 12th at the Garden Hills Rec Center. This is my first time, but their EIGHTH! A 1Day only event, but jam packed with all kinds of wares from local artisans. Lots of Holiday items too! Check em out:

Come check out these wonderful events, support local artists, and do your Christmas shopping too! See you there!

Give it up to my mama (a certified ZenTangle teacher) for introducing me to this incredible blog Her July Posting, featuring tangling on sheets from Grey’s Anatomy, (the book, not the show, obviously.) is absolutely stunning. Just check these out:

Check out her other posts too–really inspiring and off the beaten craft path.

I made my first sale this week! Hooray!

Check back often, cause I’m making and posting new garlands all the time. And sometime in the near future, I hope to add other items…

Entrepreneurally yours,

Henna for Women Friends

January 23, 2011

I met some wonderful women last November through Parakaleo (website coming soon), and was able to spend an afternoon giving henna tattoos. Historically, henna was always practiced in a community of women. They usually met in preparation of a ceremony, and spent the entire today, hennaing, eating, drinking, talking, and just enjoying each other’s company. I loved carrying on this tradition in the spirit of women community.

Blessings. -Cee

But it took me like over an hour to wrap them…oy vey…I was proud of them. : )

You know I’m bad.
